Differences between the router and the switch.

   
• The switch communicates between devices of only one network, while the router can connect multiple networks

 • Data transfer rules can be configured for the router

 • The switch will not be able to connect to the Internet

 • The switch uses only LAN ports, and the router has at least one WAN port that provides communication with the global network.
