The DSSS method.
• DSSS (Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum) is one of the main signal modulation methods used in wireless local area networks.
• This method is used to convert the original signal and transmit it simultaneously over several communication channels of a certain width.
• The principle of its operation is quite simple and looks like this. The frequency range allocated for the wireless network (2400-2483.5 MHz) is divided into 11 channels with a width of 22 MHz. Then, using the Barker sequence method, each bit of data is converted into 11 bits, resulting in an 11-fold redundancy. After that, the data is transmitted in parallel on all 11 channels at once. This approach makes it possible to reliably transmit and receive the entire amount of data, even with a weak signal level and a high noise level in the channels.
